Worlds Beyond Number: WWW #016 “Everything” – Recap and Review
Our heroes have fun while we learn more about the Citadel and their bonds

Episode 16 of Worlds Beyond Number was, quite literally, everything to me. It’s pure fan service—an episode full of peace and joy. After all the intensity, it’s such a relief to just vibe with the gang while they explore the Citadel.
This kind of episode would never work in a Dimension 20 season because of the tight format. But in a long-form podcast like WBN? It’s perfect. And it’s exactly this kind of slower, character-driven episode that sets WBN apart from D20.
Beginning at the Eerion – Catching Up With Ame
We kick off with the gang bringing Ame to Suvi’s room, where they start catching her up on everything that happened while she was unconscious.
One of my favorite moments here? Finding out Suvi has a… boyfriend? Lover? Wizard-with-benefits? The relationship status is unclear, but Eursolon’s total obliviousness to human embarrassment makes it hilarious. The way he casually mentions it while Suvi is dying inside? Comedy gold.
Reminiscing With Steel – The “Acadator” Memory
When Ame says the word “Acadator,” Suvi is pulled into a memory with Steel. I loved this moment—and also dreaded it.
It felt warm. Familiar. Safe. Watching Suvi trip her younger sister just for fun felt like the kind of sibling energy that screams “home.” But in classic Brennan fashion, those peaceful vibes are usually followed by gut punches.
This whole episode feels like the calm before the storm.
By the end of the memory, we get some serious hints about Yoren—who might still be alive and could be connected to the death of Suvi’s parents. 👀
Going Out to Eat – The Living Spell Scene
After their heart-to-heart, Suvi, Ame, and Eursolon head out to eat. First stop: a quiet spot close to home.
The scene blends bonding and worldbuilding beautifully. The chef turns out to be a living spell—literally a spell with consciousness and agency. Ame’s reaction is mixed. As a witch of the wilds, the idea of someone being magically created and bound to service probably feels… off. But the chef insists he’s happy.
This is where WBN shines—tiny moments that feel real, warm, and layered.
Flying the Galacopter – Magic Meets Sci-Fi Vibes
A short but dope moment: the group hops into a Galacopter to fly from the wizard tower to downtown.
Scenes like this remind you this world isn’t your typical medieval fantasy. Sure, there’s no electricity—but there’s high-level magical tech that fills that role. The Citadel feels like a magical sci-fi metropolis.
It’s giving Stormlight Archive vibes, where magic and science evolve hand-in-hand. Think Knights Radiant, but with a dash of wizard bureaucracy.
Secret Boxing Club Shenanigans
Later in the night, Eursolon takes the group to a secret underground boxing club to meet a shady contact.
Somewhere along the way, Ame loses her wheelchair, everyone gets a little drunk, and the vibe is full-on found family chaos. The guy running the club seems like someone we might see again—maybe not as shady as he first appears.
Waking Up at the Galacopter Station
They crash for the night and wake up at the Galacopter station, slightly hungover and slightly panicked—Suvi’s got a ceremony to attend.
And with that, the episode ends.
Final Thoughts
This episode was a slice of peace, and I loved every second of it. I’ve already listened to it three or four times—it’s just comfort food for the soul.
Predictions for Next Time
My only guess? Something’s going to go sideways at Suvi’s ceremony. Or maybe it’ll go well—but you know Brennan. Something’s lurking just around the corner. Conflict is coming.
If you haven’t listened yet, what do you think will happen next? Drop your predictions in the comments—I’d love to hear them!
